Our Garden

As well as our indoor seating, you can also enjoy your hot and cold beverages in our award-winning garden. Thanks to our fantastic gardening volunteers who maintain the space all year, our outdoor space is something really special. A haven for plants and wildlife, our garden retains the peace and beauty of the churchyard it once was, with seating for sunnier days.

We look forward to welcoming you here soon! If you have any questions, please ask at the Box Office or email boxoffice@trinitytheatre.net and remember that the space is also available for private hire.

Getting Here

Here’s the good news – we’re easily reached in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, however you might be travelling!

Our address is Church Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1JP – just a short walk up the hill from the station, and very close to the bus stops by the Town Hall and The Amelia.

Trinity is a 5-minute walk from Tunbridge Wells train station and approximately 50-minutes from London Charing Cross by train.

Accessibility

We have an accessible entrance via our North Door and an accessible toilet on the ground floor.

All our main spaces are step-free on the ground floor of the building, including our Box Office, Foyer, Café & Bar and Gallery. Please note that there is no access lift to the studio rooms on the first floor, or up to the Clocktower beyond. However, we do have a fully accessible touchscreen on a kiosk in the Foyer to allow non-climbers to explore the floors above – even the view from the roof!

    • Our auditorium is raked from Row A which is on the same level as the Foyer. If you have mobility issues we would suggest that you book Row A.
    • Personal carers go free to performances.
    • All dogs are allowed in the Cafe & Bar and garden. Only assistance dogs are allowed elsewhere in the building
    • Hearing assistance headsets are available to book, please check with the Box Office on 01892 678 678 on current usability 3-5 days prior to your visit.

We have a hard of hearing system in the auditorium, if possible please give us 3-5 days notice if you need to access it for a performance.

  • Our auditorium can accommodate two wheelchairs. Please contact the Box Office on 01892 678 678  to book wheelchair seats if required.
  • We have 2 designated disabled parking bays adjacent to the accessible entrance.

We know that live events can be really exciting but can also sometimes be a bit overwhelming for some, so we are thrilled to introduce Sensory Bags to our guests. These contain a number of items that might help you feel a bit more relaxed during a performance, and are particularly helpful for those with sensory needs.

  • The items are there to make your experience more comfortable, by helping to regulate the senses. These bags can be borrowed for free during your visit and returned to the Duty Manager at the end of the show. If you’d like to borrow a bag, please just speak to an Usher who will be happy to help. The contents of the bag are wiped down after each use.
  • Each bag contains:
    – A pair of ear defenders
    – A range of fidget toys
    – Some picture cards to help with communication
    – Some sand timers that might help with transitions

Parking

We have a small car park onsite.

Please note that there is a charge to park. All monies raised from parking are used by our charity funds to help support our community outreach.

Our car park was once the sweeping circle used to drop worshippers to church in their carriages. This means that space is quite tight – please take care when parking and do not use the ‘small car only’ bays if you drive a Monster Truck.

We have 2 designated disabled bays adjacent to the accessible entrance.

The gravelled area at the rear of the building is for staff, volunteers, casts and crews only. Please do not block the entrance to this, or park in the yellow grid.
