About Berry & Lamberts Solicitors
Tell us a little about your organisation and what you do? Berry & Lamberts Solicitors is a long-established West Kent law firm with strong roots in Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding communities. We provide legal advice to individuals, families and businesses across many areas of life and work, always aiming to offer clear, practical support in a personal and approachable way.
What are your organisations three main core values? For us, it comes down to trust, putting clients first and community. People often come to us at important or challenging moments in their lives, so our role is not just to provide legal advice, but to listen, support and guide them clearly and practically. We also see ourselves as part of the community we serve, and that is why building long-term relationships – with our clients, local businesses and the wider community – matters so much to us.
Is there an exciting project or innovation that you are working on currently? We are continually looking at ways to improve the client experience, particularly by making our services more accessible, efficient and easy to understand. One of the projects we are currently working on is the introduction of a new CRM system. While that may not sound particularly exciting from the outside, it will make a real difference to how we work behind the scenes – helping us to be more streamlined and efficient and ultimately improving the experience for our clients.
What is surprising about, or makes your organisation unique? One thing that often surprises people is just how long Berry & Lamberts has been part of the local community. The firm has been in existence for more than 270 years, which is something we are very proud of, but what matters most to us is that we have remained trusted, approachable and relevant to the generations of clients we have supported over that time. Many of our client relationships go back years, and in some cases across generations of the same family, which says a great deal about the trust people place in us.
What inspired you to connect with and support Trinity? Trinity Theatre is a much-loved part of Tunbridge Wells and plays such an important role in bringing people together through the arts. Knowing that Trinity receives no regular funding and depends on every ticket bought, every membership, every donation and every visit makes its work all the more remarkable. As a local firm, we feel strongly that businesses like ours should support organisations that enrich the community, and Trinity is a wonderful example of that.
What impact are you hoping your support has? We hope our support helps Trinity continue to thrive as an accessible, creative and welcoming space for people of all ages. For us, it is not only about the support we can give directly, but also about using our wider connections where we can – whether that is introducing others who may be able to help, or drawing on our links with organisations that share an interest in supporting the community. Trinity plays such an important role locally, and if our involvement helps it continue to reach, inspire and bring people together, then that is something we are very proud to be part of.
How does your organisation give back to the community? Community involvement has always been important to us, and it is very much a team effort. Each year, our staff choose a Charity of the Year, and we then work together throughout the year to raise funds and awareness for that cause. Alongside this, we also support a wide range of local charities, community groups and initiatives through sponsorship, volunteering, sharing expertise and helping to raise awareness of causes that matter to our clients, colleagues and the wider community.

Can you share a recent community project or initiative that your team is proud of? It is always difficult to choose just one, because we are proud of each and every one of the initiatives we support. This year, our Charity of the Year is DAVSS (Domestic Abuse Volunteer Support Services) – and we have been working to raise funds and share more about the important support they provide to people across West Kent. We are also proud to be headline sponsor of the Tunbridge Wells Literary Festival, which is important to us because of the way it brings people together through books, ideas and conversation. Alongside that, we support Local & Live each year, helping grassroots musicians get the visibility they deserve in front of a large audience. Each of these initiatives contributes something valuable to the community, and we are pleased to play a part in supporting them alongside the many others we support each year.
Is there anything else you would like our audience to know about your organisation or your involvement with Trinity? We are very proud to have supported Trinity Theatre for many years and to be associated with a business that, like Berry & Lamberts, has such a long history in Tunbridge Wells. We share many of the same values – a commitment to the local community, building lasting relationships, and adapting so that we remain relevant and valued by future generations. Both Berry & Lamberts and Trinity Theatre have been part of local life for a long time, and we both want to continue serving, supporting and bringing people together for many years to come.
