Music In ActionClassics by Candlelight 2026
Come and be swept away by a breathtaking candlelit performance of Vivaldi’s Winter (6-7pm) or the Lark Ascending (8-9pm) from the Four Seasons with world class soloist Harriet Mackenzie and the Celoniatus Ensemble as well as other timeless and modern classics. Both performances feature the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba
The programme also features romantic Argentinian tangos by Piazzolla and the stunning Aire by from the Mad Lover’s Suite by John Eccles.
Described as “A knockout from start to finish” (The Guardian), Harriet Mackenzie’s recordings have received five stars from The Times and nominations for ‘Recording of the Year’.
Celoniatus Ensemble
The Celoniatus Ensemble, founded by Harriet Mackenzie, is a highly acclaimed chamber orchestra that has been performing innovative chamber music since its inception in 2016. The ensemble is known for its diverse repertoire, including contemporary works and Baroque gems, and has been invited to perform at numerous international festivals and venues across the UK and Europe. They have also collaborated with renowned soloists and have a strong commitment to outreach and community engagement through their music.
Each performance is one hour duration.
Separate tickets are required for each performance (6pm or 8pm).

Our Café & Bar is open Mon to Sat 10am - 3pm and an hour before all performances outside of these hours.
Don't forget that drinks from the Café & Bar can be taken into the auditorium to enjoy during the performance. Please note that no outside food and beverages are permitted.
