Paintings of what appear to be machines and plants. They look as though they exist, but what they do, or what they are for, remains a mystery—if they make sense at all.
Julian Gordon Mitchell is a classically trained painter whose imagery draws as much from film, popular illustration and dreams as it does from traditional painting. His work has sometimes been described as surrealist, but he prefers the phrase “paranoid realist”. The exhibition brings together a selection of recent paintings exploring invented objects, strange encounters and imagined worlds.

Café & Bar
Our Café & Bar is open Mon to Sat 10am - 3pm and an hour before all performances outside of these hours.
Don't forget that drinks from the Café & Bar can be taken into the auditorium to enjoy during the performance. Please note that no outside food and beverages are permitted.
