The Big Senior Summer Show: The SpongeBob Musical

When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world!
An exciting new musical, based on the beloved animated series, that features irresistible characters and magical music. This deep-sea pearl of a show makes a slash with audiences young and old. The future is bright, the future is bold, the future is The SpongeBob Musical!
Who Can Take Part?
- Ages 13 – 18 (as of 31 August 2026): Open to everyone, no experience or previous membership of Trinity Youth Theatre needed!
- Ages 19 – 20: You’re welcome to join if you’ve previously taken part in Trinity Youth Theatre activities.

Cast Rehearsals:
- Monday 3 – Friday 7 August, 10am – 5pm
- Sunday 9 – Tuesday 11 August, 10am – 5pm
- Thursday 13 August, 10am – 5pm
- Friday 14 August, 10am until late
Performances:
Friday 14 August 3pm & 7.30pm & Saturday 15 August 3pm & 7.30pm (each cast will perform in 2 shows so must be available both days)
What Does It Cost?
£330 per participant (payable in full or in 3 instalments). The fee includes:

Instalment Deadlines:
- Instalment 1 £110 (to secure your place): Due on booking
- Instalment 2: £110 Friday 15 May
- Instalment 3: £110 Friday 5 June
Bursaries are available for those on low incomes thanks to The Elliott Fund.
Refund Policy: Our shows often sell out and have waiting lists. Refunds are only possible if we can find someone to fill your spot, which may not be possible after casting.
How to Take Part
Everyone who registers will be in the cast! Auditions (or video submissions) will help assign lead roles and ensemble groups.

Orchestra
Unfortuantely we don’t have an orchestra for this show, but if you are interested in hearing about any future orchestra opportunities please send us an email to let us know.
All staff are DBS checked and sessions are led by experienced youth theatre practitioners. Please see Trinity Theatre’s Safeguarding Policy for more information.

Café & Bar
Our Café & Bar is open Mon to Sat 10am - 3pm and an hour before all performances outside of these hours.
Don't forget that drinks from the Café & Bar can be taken into the auditorium to enjoy during the performance. Please note that no outside food and beverages are permitted.
