TEDx Royal Tunbridge Wells
Full Description
After five long years, TEDxRoyalTunbridgeWells is BACK, presenting an afternoon of live talks and performances that aim to showcase Royal Tunbridge Wells to the world while inviting global ideas back into our community. Our last event took place before COVID, and our theme of “Next Steps” reflects the significant changes we’ve witnessed over the past five years. With rapid transformations occurring both globally and locally, and advancements in AI tools alongside shifts in our town’s governance, it’s time to explore the ideas shaping our future.
In a world that can feel dark and overwhelming, TED finds inspiring perspectives in every region, and shares them for free with an open, curious, global audience. These fascinating, often surprising ideas not only deepen understanding and spark new conversations — they drive meaningful change and build hope.
Join us for a suite of short, carefully prepared talks and performances that are idea-focused and cover a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter. Our speakers dedicate months to crafting their TEDx Talks, often drawing on a lifetime of experience. The power of these talks will amaze you and ignite a sense of possibility amongst the audience, with the potential to catalyse technological revolutions and inspire initiatives that resonate on a global scale.
Prepare for an inspiring afternoon that will leave you with new insights and a sense of wonder. We are committed to facilitating the discovery, debate, and sharing of transformative ideas, embracing a diversity of voices and disciplines. After all, what’s the fun without a little variety?
Powerful ideas, powerfully presented, move us: to feel something, to think differently, to take action. These ideas have ripple effects of many magnitudes, pointing toward the possibility of a better future for people, communities and humanity at large. Ideas change everything.
Stay tuned for speaker announcements as we gear up to explore the ideas that will shape our community and beyond!
