What is a Show in a Week?

We stage a musical in one week during the Summer Holidays, with children aged 7-11 taking all of the roles! This year, we are performing Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids, based on the Disney animated classic.
A group of children perform as jungle animals

Over the week, we will learn the classic songs adjusted for younger voices, put together some fabulous dance numbers, and rehearse the rest of the show so we can perform it for an audience at the end of the week on the Trinity stage.

Everyone who signs up gets cast in the show, with low-pressure auditions determining who takes on what role.

All cast members get a show t-shirt and digital copies of the show photos.

We provide the costumes, make-up, props and set, making the show look at brilliant as possible. Our young cast rehearse, perform, have fun, make friends and create memories that will last for years!

There will be one cast for the show, and rehearsals will take place at Trinity Theatre.

Casts rehearse from 12.30pm – 5.30pm each day and it costs £200 for the week (working out at £36 per half day).

Performances will be on Saturday 2 August.

You can pay in whole upfront or in instalments which are due by the following dates (Instalment 1 is needed to confirm your space, which are allocated first-come, first-served):

  • Instalment 2: 27 April
  • Instalment 3: 25 May

We know times are currently financial tough for some families, and don’t want anybody who wants to come to be put off by the price. We have bursaries available via The Elliott Fund for those who need financial support.

Our shows often have waiting lists, and so refunds are only possible if we are able to find someone else to take your space once we have sold out.

What’s the Schedule?

  • Auditions: May 2025
  • Read and Sing Through: June 2025
  • Rehearsals: Monday 28 July – Friday 1 August
  • Performances: Saturday 2 August

What’s Winnie the Pooh About?

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship and, of course… sharing snacks.

Featuring favourite songs from the film, as well as new hits by the Academy Award-winning Robert and Kristen Lopez (Frozen), this honey-filled delight is as sweet as it is fun.

“I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone involved with the production of Winnie the Pooh last week. My daughter had an absolutely fabulous time and enjoyed every minute. The performance was wonderful! The programmes, photography, costumes, sound and stage management were so professional. The whole production was such a great experience for the children and so enjoyable to watch.
