Who Can Take Part?

• Ages 16 – 22 (as of 31 August 2025): Open to everyone, no experience or previous membership of Trinity Youth Theatre needed!

Cast Auditions:
Video audition deadline of Sunday 22 June

Cast Rehearsals:

• Monday 28 July – Friday 1 August, 10am – 6pm
• Monday 18 – Friday 22 August, 10am – 6pm

Orchestra Auditions & Rehearsals:

• Rehearsals: Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 July, 10am – 6pm;
• Monday 18, Wednesday 20 and Friday 22 August, 10am – 6pm

Performances:
Friday 22 August & Saturday 23 August

What Does It Cost?

£330 per participant (payable in full or in 3 instalments). The fee includes:

🎭 Two weeks of rehearsals and training led by talented professional artists

🎟️ A show hoodie

📸 Digital show photos

Instalment Deadlines:

• Instalment 1 (to secure your place): Due on booking
• Instalment 2: 15 July
• Instalment 3: 15 August

Bursaries are available for those on low incomes thanks to The Elliott Fund.

Refund Policy: Our shows often sell out and have waiting lists. Refunds are only possible if we can find someone to fill your spot, which may not be possible after casting.

How to Take Part

Everyone who registers will be in the cast. Auditions (or video submissions) will help assign lead roles and ensemble groups.

Spaces are limited, and our productions often have waiting lists. Refunds are only possible if we can fill your spot, which is not guaranteed after roles are allocated.

Audition material will be sent out to everyone who signs up. You will need to prepare a song of your own choosing, along with a song from the show (we will send details of which selection to choose) and a vocal range test (full instructions will be sent).

Orchestra

Orchestra members will get to work with a professional Musical Director and other musicians on a series of rehearsal days, before performing with our talented young cast.

Musicians should be Grade 5 standard as minimum.

We are currently looking for:

• REED I (flute, piccolo)
• REED II (Bb clarinet)
• REED III (bassoon)
• HORNS I & II
• TRUMPET in C
• PIANO
• KEYS 2 / SYNTHESISER
• 1 VIOLIN
• 2 VIOLAS I & II
• CELLO
• BASS
• PERCUSSION (Piccolo Snare Drum, Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Tom-toms, Cymbal (Suspended), Small Choke Cymbal, Hi-hat, Anvil, Temple Blocks, Wood Block, Xylophone, Bell Tree, Bells (Glockenspiel), Cow Bell, Crotales, Triangle (Medium), Small Triangle, Finger Cymbal, Sandpaper Blocks, Electronic Drums, Ratchet, Chimes, Timpani)

To sign up please fill out our Orchestra Registration Form and record a video of 2-5 minutes in length of you performing a piece of music of your own choice using your instrument(s). Remember to say your name at the top of the video and include it in the filename (if you can) and then upload it to our Dropbox.

Orchestra members’ spaces are free, though hoodies (should you want one) come at an extra cost.
