Full Description

What is that, trailing your footsteps, breathing softly down your neck…?

Get involved in Trinity Youth Theatre’s latest show – either as a performer, director or involved in other creative areas behind the scenes.

These Grimm Tales have been retold by master-storyteller Philip Pullman and feature familiar characters – Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel – and some unexpected ones too, such as Hans-My-Hedgehog.

It’s full of deliciously dark twists and turns, and we are excited to see how our young performers and creative team bring the tales to life in all their glittering, macabre brilliance. The young team will be supported by Trinity Youth Theatre’s creative team along the way.

We will be doing five of the famous Grimm stories, each with their own director (please send us an email first if you are interested in directing). The playlets are quite short but very flexible, and those who are directing can also appear in the shows or be involved in other ways, too.

  • Little Red Riding Hood
  • Rapunzel
  • Three Snake Leaves
  • Hans-My-Hedgehog
  • The Juniper Tree

Participants will need to be available for the majority of the following Mondays:

  • Monday 16 September, 7pm – 8.30pm

  • Thursday 31 October – 3pm – 4.30pm (2.30pm call) – performance 2
  • Friday 1 November – 11am – 12.30pm (10am call) – performance 3

This costs £140 for the term, and will include a show t-shirt and show cast poster.

Everyone who signs up to this can take part in our Yellow Group, from 6pm – 7pm, for no additional cost.

We know times are currently financial tough for some families, and don’t want anybody who wants to come to be put off by the price. We have bursaries available via The Elliott Fund for those who need financial support.

All of our groups are led by experienced, DBS-checked professional youth theatre leaders. Please see Trinity Theatre’s Safeguarding Policy for more information.

If you have any questions, please send Jason and Rachel an email and they will get back to you as soon as they can.
