Behind the Scenes with Bar Manager, Beverley Norman
Here at Trinity, we’ve grown a working ensemble to shout about, and we’re firm believers in having cast members that inspire us.
The team you’ll meet upon your return has changed a little over recent months, and we wanted to take the time to introduce you…
Having spent most of her working life supporting SEN children and families, working for Barnardo’s and Pembury Portage Outreach amongst other fantastic organisations, Beverley Norman is truly one of a kind, and has now become our Bar Manager having been rising through the ranks of our Kitchen & Bar since joining in 2018.
What is your favourite aspect of working at Trinity?
There are several favourite aspects about Trinity. I love a Theatre vibe, being surrounded by so many different, creative people makes the atmosphere a fun place to work. Chatting to our regular customers is like talking to an extended family member.
How would the rest of Team Trinity describe you?
HAHA, that may depend on who you ask. Hopefully fun, smiley, hard working and dedicated. But mostly a Technophobe!!
What’s the one thing our Trinity audience might not know about you?
I have a wonderful sister who has worked for the Royal family for several years. This in turn has allowed me to go to some amazing balls and events. The funniest was playing in a Windsor Castle staff football match, with the queen watching and cheering us on.
What are you most looking forward to once things are back to normal?
There are so many things I am looking forward to. Going to a West End theatre to see a musical that’s not half empty. Loud live music. A good 80’s weekend with girlfriends.
What would you say is your biggest personal development during your time at Trinity?
Becoming a full-time staff member in Trinity Kitchen and Bar has given me a whole new skill set. I’m even beginning to overcome my technophobia!
If you could switch jobs with anyone else at Trinity, who would it be?
If by switching jobs, I would gain their instant knowledge. It would have to be our Guru of all things computer, the wonderful Fliss.
What’s been your proudest moment during your time at Trinity?
That has to be, being asked to take on the Bar Manager role. Having someone believe you can handle the responsibility that comes with it (there’s a lot!) means so much.
What would be your dream event/venue to visit?
There are two dream events. I would love to see the Final of Strictly Come Dancing live, front row with my sister. I always go to hers for the weekend so we can watch it together. It’s become our tradition that starts our Christmas festivities. The other would be to stand on the Pyramid Stage watching my son play to thousands of people.
