Chi Chi Bunichi
Wed 21 May 2008 7pm and 8.45pm
Sharing stories, sipping tea at dusk or beneath the stars…
A unique and remarkable evening fusing live music, dance and theatre, this intimate and moving event takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Trinity’s garden. As a select member of an audience of 35, you will be literally in amongst the performers as they invoke the haunting sounds of the Sephardic song, a form that has journeyed from Spain to the Ottoman Empire, from the Balkans to Morocco, combining this with contemporary stories celebrating the human spirit. Unusual and stimulating, Chi Chi Bunichi is ultimately a life-affirming affair.
It's hard not to feel upbeat and moved by this evening of Ladino song and specially created dance The Londonist
